I know that the rocker arm (kipp hebel?) shafts shall have an inner M8 (1,25) thread but on my -83 bike these were so bad i could not put in a bolt when trying to pull them out. I took a M8 tap and freshened up the threads and then the M8 bolt would fit!   ;D
