Title: Rear exhaust header pipe
Post by nickst4 on 30.01.14 at 21:15:22

Hi there,

Can anyone help me with a part number for the rear exhaust header pipe (the forked one) for a 1981 TR1? Even better would be a lead to get hold of a usable one!

Thanks,

Nick in UK

Just a happy note to say I picked up a very decent 5H1 (XV920) left-hand silencer on ebayUK this week.  ;D In fact it is in rather better condition than the righthand 5A8 unit into which both cylinders currently feed, courtesy of some previous owner.

Now I'm still looking for a 5A8-14611-00 rear header pipe, if anyone's got a spare! I will otherwise get my local exhaust specialist to make a forked pipe to feed that cylinder into both silencers, as per original.

At least my TR1 now looks symetrical!  ;)

Hello Nick

I need a rear manifold pipe as well. If you can get someone to make one please let me know what the cost would be. Perhaps it may be cheaper if we order two?

Hi Kevin,

Sounds like a good idea! See Personal Message.

Does anyone have an old rear exhaust manifold we could use as a template? An old or damaged exhaust with holes in it would be suitable as long as it retains its original shape.

If we could get a fabricator to make some they could be available to other TR1 owners.

If anyone has an old exhaust we could have or borrow please let me know the cost of the exhaust and postage.

Thank you
Kevin
