Title: spoked wheels chain drive TR1
Post by Triple_S_cycles on 15.09.14 at 22:09:16

Hi all, I am new to this site. Just bought a very clean chain drive 1981 TR1 (Japanese import) which I intend to use as the donner bike for a cafe racer project.
I'm sure this has been asked before so forgive my introducing this topic again but can anyone advise me about how to fit spoked wheels to this bike.
Thanks for any information on this subject.

Front wheel: SR500/XS650 (mind you, you will have to fit the 270mm disks from the TR1 and knock up some different bushings as the spindle of a TR1 is thinner)
Rear wheel: Suzuki GT750, Yamaha XS650 - always in one go with the brake drum and again, you'll need some bushing AND have to junk the chain enclosure.

Hope this helps
Greg

Thanks for this info Greg. I'm happy to junk the chain protector as I prefer the look of an open chain anyway. So thanks again, Sean.
