Hi, Is it OK to replace old chains with new without replacing upper and lower sprockets ? It seems the lower sprocket is no longer available and even if it were would be crazy money. So if a visual inspection is good on sprockets would you go ahead with new chains ? Always says No in manuals ! Thanks |

I replaced the chains some years ago and took a close look at my sprockets, could not find any signs of wear. So i didn´t replaces them. Since 50000KM no problems. Ali |

Ok thanks Ali, New chains must be better (with no visual signs of wear on sprockets) than staying with 80,000km old chains. John |
