Looking for a TR1 project bike
22.12.15 at 12:06:40

Hello

I am looking for a TR1 project bike. I don't need wheels, exhaust, tank or seat. As long it has frame, engine and wiring loom it will be OK for me.

I am willing to travel to collect the bike but would prefer it if the bike were in the UK.

Can anyone help? Does anyone have a collection of TR1 bits that would make up a bike or has an old bike that they intended to rebuild but it never happened?

I don't intend to build a cafe racer. I'm bored with seeing those, no originality just copying all the other cafe racers. It's time to build something different.

All the best and Happy Christmas.

Kevin

Hello Wolfgang

I am from Salisbury. It's in the south about a 100 miles west of Kent.

Thank you for the help with the frame but I need more than that. Also it's a long way from here to the south of Germany.

But thank you anyway.

Regards
Kevin

Kevin,

you could contact "Beachcomber" not sure, whether he's on this forum or only on VTF, but he's regularly breaking XV920ies and TR1s for spares and as an added bonus: He's in the UK.  Wink

Cheers,
Greg

Hello

Steveo: It sounds like you have what I need. But its a long way to Switzerland from here. I would like to see if I can find something closer. But if I can't I will be back in touch with you. Thanks for your help anyway.

Greg: Good idea. I contacted Beachcomber this afternoon. He hasn't got anything but he knows of a couple of parts bikes in the UK. He is going to make enquiries on my behalf. Thanks for pointing me in his direction.

Regards
Kevin
