Hi from Australia

My name is John and I've just purchased a 1981 Xv1000 (Australian TR1)

here's a photo

I need a new exhaust,

I've found a set of Jardine pipes from a 1981-83, I'm not sure they will fit.

here is a picture of the bike they were on and a photo of the Exhaust

Do you think they will fit?

I will have to find a new front header pipe as well, If you have one please let me know

I'd appreciate any help

Cheers, John

I do have my doubts tbh. At the very least you will need the correct rear downpipe and then STILL it will be a matter of whether it clears all the other bits or not. (Which you will only know, after trying it out!)

Sorry for not being more positive.

Hello John,
Nice bike you managed to buy!  8-)
Sorry but neither can I help you - instead I'm looking for advise.
:-[
As your XV1000  (at least a few) Yamaha pictures (not only TR1) posted from Australia or NZ I've seen in bikes equipped with a nice fairing!
In most cases though slightly bigger than yours but still not even close to Windjammer or equal.
Do you think (possibly know) if there is an aftermarket of some kind for them - I'd be happy to buy one for my TR1?

Best Wishes,
Pauli - Southern Finland
