Can XVS1100 cylinders fit our TR1?? (Read 1638 times)

j_f_jensen Ex Member	Can XVS1100 cylinders fit our TR1?? 05.09.16 at 20:32:04 Hi, I'm new in the TR1 world, and have got me a old girl that at the outside looked fine with new painted frame. It needed a bit of TLC so I started to tear it apart. To my horror I find that the owner not had cleaned the frame from sand blasting sand and this have had a major impact on the cylinders My question is now if any of you know if its possible to fit the nikasil plated cylinders and pistons from a XVS1100 to the TR1?? I have read that XV1100 pistons requires a XV1100 crank. But with the play I can feel in the current crank this switch may be needed any way. Hope that one of you from this great forum can enlighten me here Cheers Jens

Reply #5 - 19.09.16 at 06:37:52 I have found a minor clearance issue between the case mouths and the cylinder skirts, 0.3mm that has to be machined to fit..
