Nach langer Zeit melde ich mich mal wieder.
6 Jahre nach Schleiz hat der Egli-Renner am Wochenende wieder seine ersten Töne von sich gegeben.
Der Motor hat keinen Schaden genommen. Die Elektrik musste ich komplett erneuern.
Der Tank ist wieder repariert, eine neue Verkleidung mit Halterung muß nur noch lackiert werden, ebenso der Höcker.
Dann noch ein bißchen polieren, und sie ist wieder einsatzbereit!
Wahrscheinlich wird Sie dann nur noch auf Demorennen gefahren, denn Leistungssport jenseits von 60 kommt nicht gut!
In Walschbronn werde ich auf jeden Fall mal vorbeischauen!

it`s the real one. I built the engine for my engineer diploma in `86. Construction of the racer started in `87 with the help of Rolf "Protto" Eulgem. Rollout was in march that year on Ledenon circuit and then straight to the BoT german championship races. In `89 Klaus Caspers won the BoT German Championship, Protto and me were the team mechanics. In `92 we retired from racing and kept the Egli-TR1 in racing condition. Protto performed lateron in Most and for the last time in Schleiz `11, where the accident occured. Since then it was housed untouched in my garage. By now I`ve found the time to start rebuilding, which is going to an end in late summer.
Next year I will seek for opportunities to race it again in demo events.
